Which is the best summary of the passage below?

Though the monster murdered several people, an undeniably evil deed, he also exhibited some good qualities. He himself describes how he began his existence as "benevolent; my soul glowed with love and humanity" (Shelley 96). His desire for love and companionship also speaks to the better side of his nature. In places throughout the novel, the monster does good deeds, such as saving a girl from drowning, but his good acts are not well received by humans who assume he is evil. (Arden, Jesse. About Frankenstein. 2010. 87)

A. Though the monster murdered several people, an undeniably evil deed, he also exhibited some good qualities. (Arden 87)

B. The monster shows both good and evil qualities. (Arden 87)

C. The monster is torn between good and evil.

I think it's C. The monster is torn between good and evil.

    Explanation:

In A. The word exhibited is present, which means that the monster publicly shows his good and bad deeds. This can't be the answer cuz people don't see the good sides in the monster.

This also applies to B because it says the word "show"

    So C makes more sense

    Hope it's right!
