Which listening barrier is interrupting effective communication in the example below?

Taylor: I just found out my dad got us tickets for the football game! Morgan: I don't watch professional sports anymore.

Taylor: Oh, well, I'm really excited to go.

Morgan: Well, the more I thought about it, the more I realized it's ridiculous to pay money to watch grown men play games. I've noticed that really intelligent people don't watch a lot of sports.
