    The reason that the author give for targeting a particular audience with Nibbie's story is that only dedicated readers of his newspaper column will understand the depth of his loss. Because The author likes to write stories about his dog, how he loves him and cares for him and how it changed his way of life. And the readers were attracted to his stories.
