How is the fall of Adam and Eve connected to the fall of Satan and his cohorts in John Milton's Paradise Lost?

Adam and Eve fight in the battle against God along with the rebel angels.

Satan also eats the fruit from the tree of knowledge.

Adam and Eve, like Satan, fall because they question God's sovereignty.

All wanted to transgress against God's prerogatives.
