Who is to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet

William Shakespeare is the responsible individual.

He's the one who made up the story where they both die.

But we should not get too angry with Shakespeare. After all,

Romeo and Juliet were both human, so no matter what happened

in the story, sooner or later they would have both died anyway.
