    In Gogol's short story The Nose, Major Kovalev wakes up to find out his nose lost. He, then tries to figure out that and comes across with his nose in the restaurant. The nose has grown his own life and now attended to the highest rank. Kovalev speaks with his nose and tell him that the nose belongs to him. But the nose informs him that he is wrong. In despair, Kovalev goes to the Board of the Disciplines to make an announcement. After that he returns home and thinks how his nose could be lost. Kovalev thinks about Madame Podtochina that she wanted him to marry her daughter and he always refused. Therefore, Madame hired band of witches and that tragedy happened to him.
