    After Tam's father death, she had only her stepmother and her child Cam, she was with them and like in Cinderella, stepmother was cruel and she did not want the best things for Tam. She is trying to sabotage her in her wishes and daily life with stepsister Cam. At the end, Tam is going away with the prince in front of their eyes like in Cinderella.

    The main difference between Cinderella and The Story of Tam and Cam is that Cam is not represented as the ugly and old stepsister. In this folk tale Cam is also represented as the beautiful girl, and she is younger that Tam.
