Is there a comma before "without"?

"Therefore, the only conflict in my way was to make sure that Romeo was informed of the plan in Mantua, without having news spread about Juliet's funeral on Thursday in replace of a wedding."

    I believe there Should be a comma before without in this case

    Yes that is correct because after saying Mantua you have to pause before you say without
