Paleontologist during the 1800s started to be aware and knowledgeable about how fossils can be studied to know about the progress of evolution, by this time some important discoveries were made, such as the start of the theory of climate change, the scientists also started to separate the fossils by analysing their differences to create a system of periods as we know them nowadays.
