The phrase flew by like one solid wall tells the reader that little Willy enters the national dogsled race with his dog the searchlight.

    Explanation:

Little Willy hopes to win the prize money in order to save his grandfather's potato farm for himself and his grandfather. He should race against a stone fox who has never been beaten.

The major theme of the stone fox is little Willy and his dog searchlight harvested the crop by themselves. When Willy finds his grandfather needs he decided to pay back taxes so he goes to the national dogsled race in hope of saving the farm.

The searchlight suddenly collapses as her heart gives out. Stone fox refused to win the race and draws a rifle and threatens the riders who tries to approach the finish line.
