Everyone has seen it and groaned--a sixth-grader weighed down by a backpack as large and heavy as a Galapogos turtle shell. The problem is the use of old-fashioned up-to-300 page textbooks. How many children's backs are being injured because of these weighty volumes? The solution is at hand, though--electronic textbooks! By using either ipads, laptops, or other electronic devices, students can store all their needed information in one lightweight object. You will hear teachers and some parents arguing against this new trend of electronic devices, but don't believe their old-fashioned hype.
