    The lesson that the narrator learned by the end of the evening after talking with the white fellow who was robbed is that money can't buy you happiness. A part in the story was that the narrator was shocked that the white fellow was not upset, instead ecstatic about what happened to him. And then, he began to question, "What is up with those rich white folks, why aren't they happy?".
