Christopher is a mid-level manager who has been working with an executive coach to become a better leader within his organization. One of the goals has been to develop his emotional intelligence.     When he discusses the situation with his team he should use empathy to demonstrate his emotional intelligence because the team at this stage need comfort and he needs to put himself in their position and try and explain to them that he understands their feeling and needs to assure them that it is not the end of the world that it might be for a greater reason.
