According to a different source, this question refers to the protagonist of the short film Geri's Game.
In this short film, we see an old man who is playing chess at the park. Even though he is alone, Geri acts as two different people, switching sides on the board, in order to make it seem as if he is playing against someone else.
The mental state of the man is subjective, but there are several possible explanations. It is possible that the man is senile. This is a condition that usually comes with age and which makes it difficult to distinguish reality with clarity. Another possibility is that Geri knows he is playing against himself, but instead of letting that get in the way, he takes advantage of it in a silly way. Finally, it is also possible that Geri is not delusional, but is very imaginative.
