    Anger and pride is what motivates Odysseus to reveal his name and put his men in more danger.

    Odysseus wounded Cyclops, and he wanted him to know who the mortal man who shamed him so was. This is why he yelled his own name to him, so that everybody knows who put the giant to such shame.
