Christopher McCandless was a college graduate from the American East Coast. He inexplicably left his family, friends and all the comforts of the civilized world to find his personal freedom in living close to the nature. After graduating from Emory University, Georgia, Christopher gave all his inheritance and possessions to charity to adopt a vagabond lifestyle. he traveled across great parts of the American continent completely on his own. Christopher walked into Alaskan Wilderness on April 28, 1992, without the skills and knowledge to survive, many people condemned him for that. on September 6, 1992 he had starved to death in Alaskan Wilderness.

Those who condemn him, didn't understand or can't relate to his adventure seeking, risk taking, and his philosophy for living freely, which he clearly expressed in his letter.
