Gregor is the main character in the novel "The Metamorphosis", by auhtor Franz Kafka. Gregor is a traveling salesman. He hates his job - waking up early, meeting people without bonding with them, worrying about timetables etc. However, at least for now, he is unable to quit, since he has to pay off his parents' debts. Still, he dreams of the day he will be able to quit, as well as tell his boss how much he loathes him. As we know, that will never happen because, one morning, Gregor wakes up to find himself transformed into a bug.
