Henry David Thoreau was an American philosopher who spent time in jail as a display of Civil disobedience, arguing that all citizen have a civil responsibility to challenge injustice.
But his experience in jail did not hurt his spirit; he certainly applied one of his famous quotes "This world is but a canvas to our imagination" so what is stronger than prison is a person's free mind.
