    The irony found in the excerpt "Reading it, however, with a perfect contempt for it, one discovers in it after all, a place for the genuine'' is the mere realization of the reader (who likes to disregard or categorize 'it' as absurd) that there is something in 'it' that could be considered real or truthful all along.
