    D. It waits for adequate space between cars before merging.

    Explanation:

Driverless cars are revolutionary yet carries the baggage of being called "too polite" due to its cons of being "misused", either by a jaywalker or due to the lack of ability to mow down the suspects or manage the speed while pedestrians come across the way. These cars have been titled as too polite as they are not able to detect the jaywalkers or adjust according to the upgraded traffic rules and the most annoying feature is that it waits for the adequate space which may lead to unnecessary accidents. They run optimally on the highways or expressways and could not adjust if a passerby comes midway. Hence, they are not much recommended.
