In the poem Landscape with the Fall of Icarus, William Carlos, the writer uses the word "unnoticed" to describe the drowning of Icarus unimportant. In the poem, it states

    "A splash unnoticed

    This was Icarus drowning"

This means that because of the word "unnoticed" it means no one put importance when Icarus was drowning.
