    "The Lions of Little Rock" takes place in 1958 in the town of Little Rock in Arkansas. It is a story about to girls, named Marlee and Liz, who befriended each other in a time where their town, decided to close its schools in order to block the ongoing process of desegregation that the country was going through.

    The major conflict throughout the story is forced impediment of a friendship that was creating much good in Marlee and how segregation policies hinder the development of a society.
