The Gift of the Magi

summary-

It takes place during Christmas. The main characters are Jim and Della. They are poor, and don't have enough money to get each other presents. They both sold their most prized possessions to pay for a gift for each other. Della cuts off all her hair and sells it to buy a gift for Jim. She buys him a chain for his watch. Jim sold his watch to buy a gift for Della. He bought her combs for her long beautiful hair. They both sacrificed their favorite things for the love of one another.
