Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) is also called "sick building syndrome" or "environmental illness".

    Explanation:

MCS is an illness brought about my chemicals in one's environment. The symptoms are often vague and non-specific and the illness is usually hard to diagnose.

Insect repellent/insecticide: This chemical is said to be made of plant derivatives that are known to be non toxic to humans. However there are reports of users being dizzy, short of breath or fainting if they come into close contact with this product. Mold: This is ubiquitous but serious issues arise when it becomes established in the lungs of immuno-compromised individuals. Infection indications range from cold and flu-like symptoms and allergic rhinitis. Smog: is a mixture of fog and smoke that reduces the air quality and initiate many diseases such as asthma and upper respiratory problems. Cleaning products: that can vaporize when used can have caustic effects on the lungs, skin and eyes.

In conclusion: It is impossible to determine which of these agents will cause a negative effect in individuals but it must be tested before hand and then avoided. Specific individuals must adhere to the agents that will cause little or no reactions and avoid the ones that do to avoid harm to their health.
