    The correct answer on edg. is C. the new policies adapted by the people in Lagado. I just took the test and b was wrong so I put c. and it was correct.

    The antagonist is the "bad guy," or the antithesis to the protagonist of a story. Here, the characters who impede Lord Munodi's happiness are B. the king of Laputa and the cabal of ministers.

    The ministers are the ones who fired him - they are the society who are in conflict with the character of Munodi.
