How could these sentences be effectively combined with a coordinating conjunction? I'll go to the Rockies. I'm afraid of heights. I'll go to the Rockies, but I'm afraid of heights. I'll go to the Rockies, and I'm afraid of heights.

    I'll go to the Rockies but I'm afraid of heights.

    Usually, you don't put a comma before "but".
