In the sentence, "I took the books", the direct object can be replaced with an absolute possessive pronoun. True False

    False because if we change the object to the absolute possessive pronoun the sentence would not have made sense. Like for example if the change it to "I took mine" What did you take? "I took theirs" What did you mean? It does not really expresses what is being taken.
