'The Black Cat' is a novel written by Edgar Allan Poe in 1843. The story is about a couple who loved pets and kept various types of pet in their house including a big, black cat called pluto. The wife believed that cat generally are not ordinary animals, but her husband did not share this belief. The wife's belief was prove right when the couple's house became inflamed and burned to the ground on the night of the day that the man killed the cat, pluto.
