    The correct answer is: In the time period between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, also known as Belle Epoche, many women have fought for their civil rights. Many of the were middle-class citizens and were concerned about the fact that their role in society was limited by enclosure home life.

    Their active presence in a world ruled by men was very limited and having the right to vote and own their property was considered one of that Movement claims.

    Explanation:

    Beside those claims mentioned above, women were also not allowed to:

    • divorce and have their children custody;

    • have salary and same education provided to men;

    • being responsible by their own, as only their husbands had the legal rights, even above their wives;

    • their voice was not recognized by law, so they couldn't defend themselves;

    • their workforce was restricted to a few positions; etc ...

    The Women's Rights Movements, either in the USA or Europe, have concluded that only when they could have chosen their representatives, they would have been able to formalize their claims.

    Even property was an issue, as the right for land has been legally only on behalf of men. So this fact has formed a vicious cycle, where women would only participate in society if they have been married, including all limitations. Once the property owning right has been achieved, women have been allowed to have more independence towards men.

    Besides in some countries, those two claims - right to vote and property - were acquired at the beginnings of the twentieth century, many demands are still requested by recent feminists movements.
