What's the difference between "hand in hand" and "hands in the middle"

    Hand in hand has two meanings

    1. Can be used to describe two people holding hands

    2. Can be used to describe two things that are closely connected and cannot therefore be viewed separately

    Hands in the middle car be used to describe a situation in which a group of people put théir hands one on top of each other altogether to show friendship, agreement, etc
