There are 2 students in your class; one who is a hard-working straight A + student and the other who is a slacker in class with grades of D/F. After an exam, the A + student scores 99% and is pleading with you to get extra credit to get the full 100% in class. At the same time the slacker student who has a grade of an F is pleading to get extra credit to boost up his grade. You can only select ONE student to provide this opportunity to. Who would you select and why?

This is just my two cents:

I would give the failing student the opportunity for extra credit. I would want them to improve and have the chance to succeed in life. The other student already has a stellar average (A + is amazing!), and could get into many universities/colleges.
