    "Eye of the Storm" is a blog that was created by Columbia graduates Mike Keller and Josh Norman, on their first big gig at the Sun Herald in Gulfport, when Katrina hit. They decided to stay within the building with other two colleagues and took the chance to convert the terrible experience into simple, sincere, honest and realistic reporting of a terrible event. They themselves say that what they intended with the blog was to pass the time and inform people about what was happening, so they kept it almost as a diary. After Katrina, they decided to keep the blog almost in the same way and they decided on a very simple layout because what they want was to report, not sell, or convince, or persuade, anyone. Simply report in most basic of ways.
