    v = 242.6 m/s Ignoring air resistance, the distance traveled under constant acceleration is 1/2 AT^2, so let's figure out how long it took for the house to fall 3000 m = 0.5 * 9.81 m/s^2 * T^2 Solve for T 6000 m = 9.81 m/s^2 * T^2 611.6208 s^2 = T^2 24.73097 s = T So the house fell for 24.73 seconds. Now just multiply to determine its speed at impact. v = 24.73 s * 9.81 m/s^2 v = 242.6 m/s
