In this story, the author uses c) dramatic irony to create b) suspense in the story.

    Explanation:

Dramatical irony is the literary diviced used in this story to generate suspense. It is about giving the reader important information, that one of the main characters does not have and it generates suspense because the outcome is morelikly to be dramatic, since the main character ignores the information.

The story let the reader know about the true identity of the supposedly elderly women, but Snow White ignores it. That is why a good effect is that it generates suspense. The reader feels unease because it knows the outcome and the mistake that is going to happend but cannot do anything about it.
