    B. The ceremony of innocence is drowned.

    Explanation:

Before the white missionaries came, Okonkwo's village and the people were unaware of the outside lifestyle. They function within their own ways, traditions and customs. With the arrival of the European missionaries there began a divide among the people. When he thought that his people will join him in an uprising against the European missionaries, they did not. This made him realize that not everything is the same and that they are no longer the warring men they used to be. They have become influenced by the Europeans. He ended up hanging himself. This shows or rather suggests that the innocence that was within his village and people has been drowned.
