Most of the British companies were involved in developing sugar plantations in the different regions and colonies, specially in the Caribbean Islands and in Brazil. To British companies sugar was "White Gold".

    Explanation:

    The Trade triangle:

Most of the African slaves were moved to different sugar plants, during the process of New World exploration. As these slaves were moved to the Caribbean islands and Brazil, while the number of African slaves were around 10 million, distributed in the British colonies. And the product of there labor was consumed by the British Empire.

    Independence due to sugar trade:

As there were sugar plantations in the British colonies and they were of great value to them, for which they had also deployed there army to protect plantations and keep it in process. But, the number of the African slaves was much higher as compared to the British personals in the region. Historians say that if British had used all there power, it would have turned all in there favor. As The King of England gave most of his islands at that time to France and after that the slaves were given rights to live.
