The play "Much Ado About Nothing" by Shakespeare engages itself in several confusions and misconceptions about the characters about each other. Antonio believes that Don Pedro will propose to Hero at the dance. Antonio’s servant had over-heard Don Pedro talking to Claudio that he will confess his proposal of love to Hero that very night. After over-hearing the news, Antonio's servant delivers it to Antonio. Later, Antonio tells Leonato about the news after which Leonato decides to warn Hero about it.

The process of overhearing, misunderstanding, and plotting goes on until the end when everything gets resolved on a happy note.
