Violence is an everyday occurrence in our society. It affects adults and children but it has a greater impact on children. Children are more mold able and are greatly influenced by things they see and hear. More and more violence is becoming prevalent in daily lives. Children all over the world are becoming victims to the same violent acts they witness on TV and at home. Children fall victim to abuse and neglect at home and at school. Children are bombarded with violence from all angles. With the come of the 21st century violence is fueled by money, racism, drugs, and media.

Violence in television is corrupting the minds of young children. Growing up is difficult enough without having violence shoved into your face everyday by the one thing we probably spend the most time watching. Television. A child learns through the things around them, so logically, that means that if they are exposed to a large amount of violence, the chances of them growing up to be violent are significantly higher than if they hadn't. So we have to ask ourselves, do we really want our kids growing up to be violent? Do we really want this for the next generation of kids? This is why I believe violence in television is corrupting the minds of young children.
