In what way might Argos symbolize ithaca since Odysseus has been gone?

    Argos was Odysseus’ dog. He was once a skilled tracker but was left uncared for when Odysseus left. However, Argos dies after he sees Odysseus disguised as a beggar. Argos symbolizes Ithaca in that both have been wrecked and hurt because of the suitors.
