How does Shakespeare present loss in romeo and juliet

    What happened was that Romeo 'heard' that Juliet had died when she didn't really die, so Romeo thought this was true and got so upset that he took the poison and drank it. Then he killed himself and that was the end.

    Romeo lost Juliet and because he loved her he committed suicide and Juliet ended up losing him.
