Media plays a very important role in our life. Today it has gained so much of popularity that we cannot imagine our world without it. Media has become so strong and powerful. It can influence any sector.

Our learning has influenced a lot by present day media. Media follow some instructional methods to deliver the information. Without these instructional methods media cannot communicate. Various instructional methods are:

Old methods-it includes chalkboards, textbooks teachers, newspaper. new methods-it consist of computers, multimedia systems, mobile phones, Televisions etc.

Media transfers knowledge from an expert to a new learner through it's instructional methods. So, media stands nowhere without the methods which it uses. Thus we can say that without these instructional methods media would never have been able to gain the popularity. Finally the onus to transfer the information lies on these instructional methods. Media's role is limited to the collection of information but that information spreads through mediums used. So instructional methods used influence learning.

Media provides a useful base for teaching with cases, cooperative learning, problem solving, lecture delivery in an interactive way through these instructional methods, which deepens our learning.
