Both poems belong to the Romantic movement of the literary art in history. These poems focused on the value of death and how the cycle of a person's life can end peacefully. Death is seen as an eternal sleep for the soul in which a man can go through the different stages in life and end up dying with a peaceful smile. This is because the era of Native Americans have influenced their works of art in poetry.
