There is more than one way to measure success.

    Explanation:

From the book, The First Seven Years by Bernard Malamud, there is a prevailing theme that success is not measured in one way.

Mr Feld wants his daughter Miriam to get married to Max who he feels is of a good social status, but they eventually don't work out. Eventually, Sobel, Feld's assistant in the store ends up marrying Miriam even though Feld doesn't consider him of a good social standing (at first).
