"The Lady, or the Tiger?" by Frank Stockton, the princess is compared to both the tiger or the lady, depending upon her decision she makes for the fate of her love. If the princess chose to send the love to the tiger she would be characterized as one to be a tiger, being merciless towards her love whereas, if she sends her love to marry the lady she would be true towards her love and eradicating her semi-barbaric nature. Therefore, to prevent the life of young man from death, princess has to opt for letting the young man marry the lady.
