Pap is Huck's drunkard, illiterate father who always disapproves of his son's education and always beats him. He represents both the degradation of the white society and the failure of familial relationships in the novel.

Miss Watson (sister of Douglas), is a wealthy woman. The sisters adopt Huck and tries to influence him with their conservative beliefs and religion. Both of them represent the hypocritical religious society which is very much concerned with ethical values.
