Answer: Her character has changed at the end of the story. She no longer thought about how other people perceived her.

    Explanation:

Madame Loisel is a character from a short story, "The Necklace", written by Guy du Maupassant.

At the beginning of the story, the only thing that Madame Loisel was concerned with was the other people's opinion of her. She wanted her friends and acquaintances to perceive her as rich. She pretended to live a life of luxury, always attending parties dressed in expensive clothes.

On one occasion, she borrowed a necklace from a friend, and lost it. Loisel and her husband could barely make ends meet in order to repay it. This situation completely changed her character. Madame Loisel no longer thought about how other people saw her. She just wanted to be happy, to live a decent life with her husband. While at the beginning of the story she did not appreciate her life, it all changed at the end of the story.
