Answer: One of the most common uses of hyphens is to join two or more adjectives that are modifying the same noun, this is the case of sentence B, the adjectives "chocolate" and "covered" are modifying the noun "pretzels" so, to avoid misunderstandings, we should add a hyphen between them. An example is " I would like a chocolate-covered pretzel"
