Why do children make fewer mistakes learning english than adults learning a second language?

    Because their mind is still in the process of learning and growing and it is easier for them to learn things quickly and be able to process them. For adults it's a little harder because for the most part their brain has stopped growing and it takes a little more effort (hence more mistakes) to learn something new, like a second language
