    It is a symbolic way to describe that the girl refuses to be a part of the society. The girls comparison of fur piece to the fried fish is a manifestation of the depressed state of mind. The boy and the girl can't seem to understand how anyone could wear fur. It shows that others have a difficult time relating to Mrs. bill.
