How to stop nail biting?

I know there's a nail polish for that, it taste so bad that u don't want to try bitting ur nails. I know it's a hard habit to get rid of but just try to stop urself and maybe eat something if u feel the need to bite them. if i may ask people usually bite their nails if their nervous are you one of those people?
